Assignment #1

a.    I have made art before. I like to draw, paint, and be creative.  I enjoy being creative and doing anything that involves art even though I am not amazing at it. I still enjoy painting and creating things.

b.    I have tried to paint and draw on multiple occasions.   I like to paint pottery and ceramics.

c.    I have been too many museums including the Columbia Museum of Art. I also have been to multiple galleries such as the Red Piano gallery in Frogmore. I have not been to an artist studio before.

d.    I have never been to an art film or an Opera.  I like to go to plays and have been to many including Phantom of the Opera, Guys and Dolls, and The Little Shop of Horrors.

e.    I dance when I am with my friends and having fun, but not for a dance team.

f.     I learn best when I am actually involved in what I am learning.  I learn best through actually doing what I am learning.

g.    I am taking this class as a requirement for an Early Childhood Education degree.

h.    I have been moved by art before. I enjoy historic pieces the most. Items that have a history and story behind them.

i.     I am inspired by my friends, family, and events that happen in my life.

j.      I believe that everything is a different form of art because it was created through someone imagination in some way.

k.    Everyone can make their own decisions on what they think good art it, but everyone is entitled to a different opinion and to think differently about what good art it.  

l.     When I listen to music, I hear the words and the story that is being told through the words.  My brother on the other hand plays instruments and when he listens to music he hears the different instruments and the sound they create together.

m.   The best movie I have seen in the last year was The Blind Side because it moved me emotionally.

n.    I believe that an art film is a film that is nothing like a Hollywood movie.  They are not the typical films that are mainstreamed.  I belive they are independently made and are usually more serious.

o.    I like a variety of music including Country, Christian, and some pop.  When I am looking for music I like, I look for songs that tell a story or music that I can relate to.
